I think, therefore I blog

Hi, I'm Amina, a student from Germany. This answers the question "Who, man, writes?", which is the name I gave to my blog, because I liked the pun, not only because I was involved in work for amnesty international for some time and I'm quite interested in human rights. Have you noticed? You can take out the "h" and the commas and it is "Woman writes" - which is also true.

"I think, therefore I blog" - I cannot do otherwise. When I started blogging several months ago, I didn't think it'd turn out to be so addictive. I had been writing my own diary before, but diaries fill up easily and you have to get new ones. My hand writing is terrible too, thus it is simply not much fun, especially because I cannot embed little videos into it. And sticking photos and other stuff into them takes up more time. Besides I find so many cool pictures on the web these days, I wouldn't want to print them all out. In fact I spend large parts of my life randomly surfing the web, so starting a blog seemed quite a natural consequence. I don't write into my blog every day, but sometimes it just helps me conserve nice memories (and remembering things I'd otherwise forget), formulate my own thoughts and getting order into them. The blog a friend of mine wrote in Glasgow on the other hand helped me learn so much about Scotland that I feel very prepared, because I intend to go there to study myself some time soon.

I'd like to share certain things with my friends as well, which is why this blog is especially created to communicate with the people that are interested in my life and work...which, I assume, won't be too many. Nevertheless, the fun I have blogging compensates for that.
